The Syltlauf is a popular fun run that offers a varied course amidst a romantic dune landscape. It stretches over 34.55 kilometers from the southern tip of Hörnum to the north in List and starts at 10 a.m. in any weather. Participants battle through windy dune kilometers and are supported along the route by enthusiastic spectators. The finish line is at the Fünf-Städte-Heim in Hörnum, where runners arrive between 12 and 2 p.m.
